Sun Devil Home Events in 2020-21
SAN FRANCISCO – With the Pac-12, Sun Devil Volleyball has released the 2020-21 conference schedule, which will begin with two matches on the road at Washington this weekend.
"What a blessing to be able to come back and play the game we love again," Fourth-year ASU head coach Sanja Tomasevic said. "I am super excited to continue training and improving. The Pac-12 schedule is always exciting and we can be certain that every night we will be challenged to be our best. We are motivated to get back to train for that."
In 2020, the Pac-12 announced that fall sports would be postponed due to concerns regarding COVID-19. This spring season will be strictly conference play. The Sun Devils will play each Pac-12 team twice the same weekend in one location, aside from Arizona who they will play once in Tempe and once in Tucson. The schedule is subject to change.
"While we are all living in unprecedented times, the safety of our players and the staff are still at the forefront of our minds as we head into this season with excitement," Tomasevic said.

The conference continues to hold some of the best competition in the country. Six teams were chosen for the 2019 NCAA Tournament, including back-to-back national champion Stanford. The Cardinal also won the Pac-12 championship. Both Utah and Washington made strong runs in the tournament, with the Utes advancing to the Sweet Sixteen and the Huskies making the Elite Eight.
After opening the season in Seattle against Washington on January 22 and 23, Arizona State will be home for two-straight weekend, first hosting Washington State on January 28 and 30 before Utah comes to town February 5 and 7. The Sun Devils will then hit the road to play at Oregon State on February 11 and 12 before coming back to Tempe to take on UCLA on February 19 and 21. The first half of the season will wrap up at USC on the last weekend of February.
The rivalry matches against Arizona will be played on March 5 and 7. The two teams will face off in Tucson first before coming up to Tempe that same weekend.
The back half of the schedule starts at home against Cal on March 12 and 14. ASU will be on the road for two weekends in a row after that, traveling to take on defending national champion Stanford on March 19 and 21 before flying to Colorado for matches on March 26 and 28. Finally, the regular season will wrap up at home against Oregon on April 2 and 4.
Last season, the Sun Devils had the best season under Tomasevic in her third season. They finished the regular season with a 17-14 record, 9-11 in the Pac-12 to take eighth place, the best finish since 2015. Since joining the Pac-12 in 1986, this season marks the 11th nine-win Pac-12 season for ASU, the first since 2014. In the past 19 years, it is just the fourth time reaching nine conference wins. Arizona State is bringing in 10 newcomers to continue this program's rise to the top.
