Volleyball Schedule Arrives, Dawgs Start Friday
SEATTLE - The moment Husky volleyball fans have been waiting very patiently for arrived today as the 2021 winter-spring schedule was put in place by the Pac-12 Conference. Dates, times, and broadcast selections for the Huskies are now confirmed through the month of February, while opponents and locations are known for March and April, with final dates and times still to be determined for those weeks.
First and foremost, the Huskies will open the season this Friday, Jan. 22, at home at Alaska Airlines Arena against Arizona State. The match will get underway at 3 p.m. Pacific time and 24 hours later, the Huskies and Sun Devils will play again at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23. This season, all Pac-12 teams will face one opponent twice in one week at the same location, making for a 22-match conference-only campaign.
The run through the conference will culminate in NCAA tournament selections, which will be made on April 4, with a reduced-size 48-team tournament beginning shortly thereafter. The Final Four is set to take place on Apr. 23-25 at a site still to be determined.
Pac-12 Network TV picks have also been made through February, with the Huskies scheduled to appear four times at this point.
Unfortunately, fans will not be permitted at Alaska Airlines Arena this season, however all UW home matches will be live streamed for free on GoHuskies.com.
