Nuneviller Named Preseason All-Pac-12
SAN FRANCISCO – Oregon junior outside hitter Brooke Nuneviller earned preseason All-Pac-12 Conference recognition, the league announced on Wednesday.
Last year, Nuneviller made the move to outside hitter after starring at libero her freshman year, and finished second on the team with 331 kills and led the team while finishing eighth in the conference with 417 digs. She was the only player in the conference and the first since 2014 to average at least 3.5 digs and 2.5 kills per set.
Nuneviller also led the team in 2019 with 29 service aces and 1,017 attack attempts and was one of three players on the team to see action in all 113 sets. She finished fifth in the conference with 15 double-doubles and reached double figures in digs in all but five matches and had at least 10 kills 17 times.
The Chandler, Ariz. native burst onto the scene as a freshman libero, earning AVCA All-America honorable mention recognition while being named the AVCA Pacific North Region Freshman of the Year. Her 580 digs in 2018 are the third-most in a season in school history while her 4.92 digs/set ranks fourth all-time in a season at Oregon. Nuneviller also earned Pac-12 All-Freshman honors and was named the conference's freshman of the week four times to help the Ducks to an Elite Eight appearance.
