USC Women's Swim & Dive Opens 2021 Season With Tri-Meet At Home

The USC women's swimming and diving program opens their 2020-2021 season with a two-day Tri-Meet, this Friday and Saturday (Jan. 22 and 23) at the Uytengsu Aquatics Center. 
  
Scheduled to join USC at the meet are Pac-12 rivals, UCLA and Arizona.  

 
Action will begin Friday at 1:00 p.m. and continue Saturday at 11:20 a.m. 

 
Captains for the Women of Troy are senior Jemma Schlicht and junior Makenna Turner. On the diving side, junior Alyson Tam leads the squad.  
  
USC returns six All-American swimmers and two divers this seasonDefending Pac-12 champion in the 100-yard and 200-yard free, Laticia Transom, is primed for a stellar junior year campaignOther All-Americans returning for the Trojans include Schlichtseniors Marta Ciesla and Maggie Aroesty , junior Isa Odgers and sophomore Aela Janvier
Sophomore divers Nike Agunbiade and Savannah Stocker, both Pac-12 finalists and NCAA qualifiers, also return for the Trojans.  

  
Freshmen Kaitlyn Dobler (Portland, Ore.and Anicka Delgado (Laguna Hills, Calif.) are among the women's swim team's top newcomers. Also joining the squad this season is All-American and SEC finalist Hallie Kinsey, who transferred to USC after two seasons at the University of South Carolina.  
 

The diving program welcomes newcomers Allison Ward (Westlake, Texas) and Farah Volpintesta (Bethel, Conn.who will contribute significant talent on both boards.  

 

Event lineup:  

Friday 1/22: 400 medley relay, 1650/1000 free, 100 back, 100 breast, 200 fly, 100 free, 200 IM, 200 free relay  

Saturday 1/23:  200 medley relay, 500 free, 100 fly, 200 breast, 200 back, 200 free, 400 IM, 50 free, 400 free relay
