TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Men's Golf will look to continue its streak of dominance in its home event, the Arizona Intercollegiate, beginning on Monday morning at the Wildcats' home course of Sewailo Golf Club. Arizona has claimed the event's team championship in each of the last three years, claiming last year's title by an impressive nine strokes.

"The Arizona Intercollegiate continues to be a marquee event for our program as well as many of the other programs in the west," said head coach Jim Anderson. "We are carrying some momentum to this event after playing some good golf last weekend to open the season, and I know our team is ready to compete again this week and defend our Arizona Intercollegiate titles."

Not only have the Wildcats won the Arizona Intercollegiate in three consecutive years, but they have put in some historic performances in close battles. The 2019 event saw Arizona match a program record by shooting a final team score of 37-under par, which included an Arizona single round record 21-under par on the final day.

Late round heroics propelled the program to its win in 2018 with the team shooting 15-under par in the final round to beat No. 2 ranked Texas A&M by two strokes.

The three-day event tees off on Monday morning with an 18-team field that includes Pac-12 foes Oregon, Oregon State, Utah, Washington and Washington State. Due to COVID-19 protocols, the 2021 Arizona Intercollegiate is not open for spectators and fans to attend.
