Men's Golf Heads To Southwestern Invitational With Golf Channel Broadcasting
The Sun Devil men's golf team heads to California to compete in the Southwestern Invitational held Jan. 25-27 at North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village. The 12 teams will play 18 holes each day with Golf Channel providing live coverage every day from 2:30-5:30 MT.
The Lakes & Oaks courses plays at par 72 with yardage at 6,992.
DOZEN TEAMS SCHEDULED TO COMPETE
Pepperdine, Arizona State, Augusta, California, East Tennessee State, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Saint Mary's, San Diego State, San Jose State, SMU and USC.
THE ASU LINEUP
The Sun Devils will compete with senior Chun An Yu, junior Cameron Sisk, senior Blake Wagoner, sophomore Ryggs Johnston and sophomore David Puig.
This is the 42nd edition of the Southwestern Invitational. The tournament began in 1978 at North Ranch Country Club with USC as the host. C.W. Johnson served as tournament director for more than 25 years. North Ranch also hosted the 1988 NCAA Championships. The Southwestern Invitational has also been known as the Southwestern Intercollegiate, the USC Collegiate Invitational, the North Ranch Intercollegiate or the Cleveland Golf Classic over the years. Pepperdine and USC co-hosted the event in 2013 and 2014, and the Waves then took over sole hosting duties beginning in 2016.

SUN DEVIL TITLES
ASU has competed in the tournament 27 seasons and has won eight titles. It won the 1980, 1983, 1986, 1993, 1996, 1998, 2000 and 2001 championships.
