Wildcats Fall Short Against Texas Tech

EL PASO, Texas - Arizona fought tooth and nail, but ultimately fell short, losing to the Red Raiders on Sunday morning lead by No. 100 Staines. 

After losing the doubles point, the WIldcats pushed hard in singles. Talya Zandberg, Abby Amos, Khim Iglupas, and Gitte Heynemans all took the first set of their set. Heynemans was the only one who could close her match in time before the Red Raiders crawled to four points, with Amos a game away from scoring another point. Amos and Heynemans remain undefeated this season in singles, with Gitte leading the team with four singles wins. 

The Wildcats return home to face DIxie State on Thursday, Feb. 4.
