Wildcats Win Two In a Row to Start 3-0
EL PASO, Texas - Arizona Women's Tennis defeated NMSU and UTEP to start their regular season 3-0. The Wildcats finished both matches with a 6-1 score.
Kayla Wilkins starred in the No. 1 spot for the first time this season in both matches and won them both to remain undefeated on the season. Talya Zandberg grabbed her first win of the weekend against UTEP along with senior transfer Jelena Lukic seeing her first action of the season with wins at NMSU at doubles and singles. Gitte Heynemans dominated both of her opponents in sing;es, giving only one game to both.
Arizona plays Texas Tech on Sunday to close out the weekend in El Paso. The match starts at 11 am MST.
