Track Opens Outdoor Season at Grand Canyon
TEMPE – ASU travels crosstown Wednesday Feb. 3 to open the 2021 outdoor season at the Grand Canyon University (GCU) Outdoor Invitational. The events begin with field events at 9 a.m. MST, followed by running events at 11:30 a.m. MST. This will be just the second official meet held on GCU's track. Twenty-five Sun Devils are set to compete, one of whom will be repping the Maroon and Gold for the very first time.
The meet will not be streamed, but live results will be available throughout here.
Making his collegiate debut for the Sun Devils is Garrett McSheffrey. He is scheduled for the 800m, and sis personal best time of 1:54.7 came last year at the 2020 Twilight Trials. McSheffrey finished second in the 800-meter at the 2019 Washington state meet.
