2021 USC Baseball Schedule Announced
LOS ANGELES – Head Coach Jason Gill announced the 2021 USC baseball schedule this week, with the Trojans opening the season at home on February 19.
The schedule features 30 home games, 19 road games and a full Pac-12 slate, with the possibility of more midweek non-conference games being added. The Trojans open coach Gill's second season against his former club LMU on February 19 at Dedeaux Field. It will hopefully be Gill's first full season at the helm after the 2020 campaign was canceled after 15 games due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
USC opens the year on a Friday against LMU, playing the Lions at Dedeaux on Friday and Saturday, before concluding the series in Westchester on Sunday. USC then hosts the Cal Poly Mustangs Feb. 26-28, before opening the Southern California College Baseball Classic against Cal State Fullerton on March 5. USC will also host Pepperdine on March 6 and then wrap up the SCCBC with a non-conference game at UCLA on March 7.
The Trojans host Nevada for a three-game set March 12-14 before the start of Pac-12 competition. USC plays its final non-conference series at home against Dixie State April 9-11 during its off-week from Pac-12 play.
With the Big West deciding not to play midweek games this season, the Trojans' local options were limited, leaving USC with home and home midweeks against Pepperdine and LMU. The Trojans head to Malibu to face Pepperdine on March 9 and the Waves will visit Dedeaux on April 27. In addition to the season-opening series the teams play, USC will head to LMU on March 30 and then host the Lions on April 20.
PAC-12 ROAD SLATE
The Trojans open Pac-12 play on the road, heading to Washington March 19-21. The Trojans also travel to Cal (April 1-3), Arizona (April 23-25), Oregon State (May 7-9) and close the regular season at Utah (May 27-29).
PAC-12 HOME SLATE
USC plays its first Pac-12 home series against crosstown rivals UCLA March 26-27. Oregon (April 16-18), Stanford (April 30-May 2), Washington State (May 14-16) and Arizona State (May 21-23) will also visit Dedeaux Field.
The Pac-12 Network has yet to release its broadcast schedule for the 2021 baseball season, but all USC games not on the network will either be streamed or have an audio-only internet broadcast. Links to broadcasts and live stats will be available week-to-week on the baseball schedule page at USCTrojans.com.
In accordance with Pac-12 and Los Angeles County Public Health Department policies, USC will not have fans in attendance at its home games this spring.
