Djeffal Named to Top Drawer Soccer Preseason Best XI

CORVALLIS – Oregon State junior midfielder Sofiane Djeffal has been named to the Top Drawer Soccer Preseason Best XI First Team, the site announced Thursday.
Djeffal has earned Pac-12 First Team honors in each of his first two seasons with the Beavers. The junior scored three goals and tallied six assists last year, bringing him into a tie for eighth in Oregon State history with 13 career assists. Djeffal earned Pac-12 Freshman of the Year honors in 2018, and was named Pac-12 Player of the Week on Sept. 24, 2019.
The midfielder scored two goals in the Beavers' season-opener on Wednesday, as Oregon State started the year with a 6-0 victory over Eastern Oregon.
The Pac-12 conference also announced on Thursday that Oregon State had been picked to finish third in the league's coaches poll, receiving two first-place votes.
