Feb 8, 2021

INDIANAPOLIS – Former Washington State women's basketball standout Chanelle Molina has signed a WNBA training camp contract with the Indiana Fever. Molina will look to earn a spot onto the Fever roster when the team opens camp later in the year.

Molina will look to secure a roster spot in the WNBA after playing one season for the Norrköping Dolphins in Sweden. The point guard has continued to shine overseas, as Molina averaged 18.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game for the Dolphins.

"Chanelle recorded an excellent career at Washington State in the very challenging Pac-12 Conference. She is a skilled and versatile guard who will bring high energy and competitiveness to our training camp," Head Coach Marianne Stanley said. "She is having a great year overseas in Sweden this season because of how she has continued to improve."

In her final season at Washington State, Molina earned her second- straight All-Pac-12 honorable mention nod for the Cougs. The Kailua Kona, Hawai'i native led WSU in assists (125), minutes played (1,070), 3-point field goals made (59) and rebounds (183) as a senior during the 2019-20 season. Molina finished second on the team in scoring at 14.6 points per game, and ranked inside the top-15 in the Pac-12 in assists, points and rebounds.

The guard came to Washington State as the program's first-ever five-star recruit, and left as the only player in Cougars women's basketball history to collect over 1,000 points, 400 rebounds and 400 assists. She is second on WSU's all-time career assists list with 429 helpers, while her 1,395 career points ranks ninth on the program's all-time scoring list. She is also second on the program's all-time 3-point field goals made list at 174.
