DUCKS FINISH SIXTH IN SEASON OPENER
Oregon battled through cold, windy conditions in its first tournament action in over 10 months to finish sixth in a 17-team team field at the Arizona Intercollegiate to open the season. Owen Avrit led the way in his first tournament as a Duck, coming in tied for 10th at 3 over, highlighted by a 4-under 67 in the final round. Avrit was joined in the top 25 by Nate Stember, who came in tied for 22nd and was in the top 10 after the first two rounds before struggling in the difficult conditions in the final round.

UP NEXT
The Ducks will have just one day between tournaments following The Prestige, as they will turn around and play in the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate, Feb. 19-21, at the Classic Club, also in the Palm Springs area.
