Lund-Hansen and Ham End Day One of the Sun Devil Winter Classic Inside the Top-20

Scottsdale, Ariz. – The Washington State women's golf team has a pair of golfers sitting inside the top-20 on the individual leaderboard after 18 holes of play at the Sun Devil Winter Classic. Fifth-year senior Marie Lund-Hansen and sophomore Jiye Ham enter tomorrow's second round in a tie for 17th.

Lund-Hansen and Ham each carded one-over-par 73 during the first round of play at the inaugural Sun Devil Winter Classic. Ham collected an eagle on a par-five fifth hole on Monday, Feb. 16, while she also carded two birdies. Meanwhile, Lund-Hansen posted a team-best three birdies during her first go-around at the Talking Stick Golf Club. Junior Darcy Habgood matched Lund-Hansen with three birdies of her own, helping the Australian native end the day tied for 34th.

Washington State concluded the first day of the Sun Devil Winter Classic in eighth place on the team leaderboard. The Cougars shot a 301 (+13) in the tournament's opening round.

Junior Amy Chu also sits inside the top-50 on the individual leaderboard, as she will begin play on Tuesday in a tie for 34th. Fellow junior Cameron March ended her day in 54th.

The second round of the Sun Devil Winter Classic will take place this Tuesday, Feb. 16. WSU will tee-off at 8:15 a.m. PT. Fans can follow along with all the action by clicking the link here.
