MEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Alejandro Reguant, Sr., ARIZONA (Barcelona, Spain)

  • Broke school records for most spring singles wins in Arizona history, as well as the most overall singles wins in program history during the Wildcats' doubleheader against New Mexico State last weekend.
  • In singles, Reguant defeated NMSU's Louis Menard 6-1, 6-3 and Jordy Visser 6-0, 6-3.
  • Pushed season singles record to 5-2 and is 4-0 in doubles.
  • Arizona is now 7-1 overall.

WOMEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Melisa Ates, Sr., WASHINGTON STATE (Antalya, Turkey)

  • Picked up two wins for Washington State on Sunday, including the match clincher against Montana State, improving her singles record to 4-0 for the season.
  • Also on Sunday, Ates’ doubles victory with Yang Lee clinched the doubles point for WSU in a 4-3 win over Gonzaga.
  • The two wins over the weekend gave the senior 93 singles wins for her career, tying Ksenia Googe for the fifth-most wins in Washington State's program history.
  • Ates has not lost a set in her four victories this season.
