SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Arizona Women's Golf finished the Sun Devil Classic with a top three finish as a team and three top-20 finishes on the individual leaderboards. The Wildcats posted a final team score of 20-over par and were led by senior Yu-Sang Hou who finished the event tied for sixth with a score of 1-under par.

"I was proud to see our scores continue to improve on the final day of the event," said head coach Laura Ianello. "Finishing third in a tournament filled with Pac-12 programs is a strong start for our first team event with Yu-Sang and Vivian back. We will see more improvement as a team during the next three weeks of practice as we prepared for our home event."

Arizona posted a final round score of 4-over par today, which marked their lowest round of the tournament. Sophomore Vivian Hou posted the lowest round for the team on Wednesday with an even 72 after sinking three birdies on the front nine.

Vivian Hou and fellow sophomore, Therese Warner, finished the event tied for 16th overall with scores of 5-over par. Freshman Maya Benita also ended the Sun Devil Winter Classic on a strong note with her season best round, shooting a 73 on Wednesday.

The Wildcats' top-3 finish as a team this week came in their first team event of the season as the Hou sisters competed in their first tournament since returning to Tucson from their home country of Taiwan.

Arizona will return to action on Monday, March 8 when they host the Arizona Wildcat Invitational for two days at Sewailo Golf Club.
