LA QUINTA, Calif. – Arizona Men's Golf used an up-and-down par save by Trevor Werbylo on the final hole of The Prestige to clinch a share of the team and individual championships. The Wildcats finished in a tie for first with North Carolina at 4-under par while Werbylo also finished 4-under par to split the individual title with Ludvig Aberg of Texas Tech and Jacob Skov Olesen of TCU. The pair of championships clinched by the Wildcats on Wednesday gives them four total titles won in their last two events following Brad Reeves' and the team's wins at the Arizona Intercollegiate two weeks earlier.

Arizona was a stroke over par for the final round, which was the fourth lowest score on the day in the 24-team field. The Wildcats' title run was powered by its dominance of the longest holes as the team posted the best par-5 scoring at -18, six strokes better than second place Arizona State. UArizona was also second among the field in par-4 scoring as well. The pair of team victories in 2021 mark Arizona's first season with multiple team titles since 2006.

Werbylo's championship performance saw him finish in a tie for lowest par-5 scoring at 6-under, one stroke ahead of teammate Brad Reeves. The Tucson native's second and third rounds of 67 and 69 were his lowest of the year, tying his second round, 69, at the Arizona Intercollegiate.

Reeves joined his teammate in the top ten, finishing in a tie for ninth at even par with rounds of 72, 70 and 71. His back-to-back top-10 finishes this season mark the second time in his career that he's achieved the feat. David Laskin and Chase Sienkiewicz gave Arizona two Top-30 finishes as well.

After winning four championships in the first two team events of the season, the Wildcats will return to action at Cabo Collegiate in San Antonio, Texas beginning on Monday, March 1.
