STANFORD, Calif. – The Stanford men's golf program announced the remainder of its 2021 spring schedule on Thursday.
The Cardinal began their season at The Prestige earlier this week with a sixth-place finish, despite a limited roster of student-athletes who had returned to campus previously. The remainder of the men's golf program returned to campus last week to begin its mandatory 10-day travel quarantine and medical onboarding process in preparation for the 2021 season.
Stanford is set to host Santa Clara on Monday, Feb. 22 at Stanford Golf Course for a match-play event. The morning will feature nine matches while the afternoon will feature four, foursome matches.
During the month of March, the Cardinal will travel to San Antonio for The Cabo Collegiate (March 1-3) and Bandon, Ore. for The Bandon Dunes Championship (March 7-9). Dates for The Goodwin, hosted annually at Stanford Golf Course, are expected to be finalized and announced at a later time.
In April, Stanford is scheduled to play The Cowboy Classic in Mesa, Ariz. (Apr. 5-6) and The Western Intercollegiate in Santa Cruz, Calif. (Apr. 12-14) before the Pac-12 Championship in Santa Rosa, Calif. (Apr. 26-28).
NCAA Regionals are scheduled for May 17-19 and NCAA Championships May 28-June 2.
While Stanford Athletics will continue striving to create an opportunity for student-athletes to compete in their upcoming season, all decisions regarding training and competition will be based on the conditions and the guidance provided to us by public health officials and our university administration. Accordingly, the schedule is subject to change and additional events may still be added.
The Pac-12 Conference recently determined it would continue its prohibition on fan attendance at Pac-12 sport competitions taking place on Pac-12 campuses until further notice. Additionally, Santa Clara County's latest directive does not allow spectators to attend any practice, competition or other athletics event.
