TUCSON, Ariz. - No. 21 Arizona is set to welcome NAU for a doubleheader on Friday with the first match at 10 a.m. and the second at 2 p.m. MST.
The Wildcats are 7-1 on the season, including a ranked win over Pepperdine. Leading the way is No. 105 Gustaf Strom, who remains undefeated in both singles and doubles on the season. Strom and Malbasic tout a 6-0 doubles record, and both lead the team with five singles wins along with captain Alejandro Reguant and Carlos Hassey. Reguant was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week for the first time after a record-breaking performance against NMSU.
In the last doubleheader against NMSU, Hiroki Sakagawa and Jett Middleton got singles action and took advantage with two singles wins, as well as Conner Olsen grabbing his first singles and doubles wins on the season. These Wildcats could get another chance to improve their records against NAU. No. 21 Arizona has won the last 13 matches against the Lumberjacks since 2003.
