No. 22 Sun Devils Play San Diego Friday, Match against No. 5 TCU canceled

TEMPE - The 22nd-ranked Sun Devils are set to play San Diego on the road Friday at 1 p.m. MST. ASU's match against No. 5 TCU was canceled due to the snow storm affecting Texas. Fan can follow the match via live stats here.

The 5-1 Sun Devils' No. 22 ranking is the fourth time ASU has been in the Oracle/ITA top-25 ranking since the program's reinstatement in 2016. ASU has held their opponents to just one point in their past four wins, including a 6-1 victory against No. 22 Pepperdine.
ASU has a long history with the Toreros that favors the Sun Devils 23-4. The most recent matchup took place in 2018 when the Sun Devils came out on top with a 4-3 win over then No. 41 San Diego.
Matt Hill's squad is off to a phenomenal start this season and has two players with perfect singles records in senior Nathan Ponwith and sophomore George Stoupe. Stoupe also holds a perfect 5-0 doubles record.
San Diego holds a perfect 2-0 record in 2021, defeating UC Irvine 5-2 in their most recent match. The Toreros clinched the win after singles victories from redshirt juniors David Norfeldt and Nico Borter and freshman Ilias Zimmermann.
