ST. GEORGE, Utah – The #2 Washington Huskies rolled to a 9-0 run-rule victory over Dixie State Friday. The Huskies allowed just one hit in the game, with eight different Huskies recording a hit.

Gabbie Plain was electric in the circle en route to her 18th career double-digit strikeout game. Plain struck out the first five batters she faced, with her first ten outs all coming via strikeout. She allowed just 3 balls in play and only one hit on the day.

In all, Plain would end the day with 14 of her 15 outs coming via strikeout. That was just one off of her career high in strikeouts. Dixie State would have only three baserunners: one each via hit, error, and hit by pitch.

Washington's powerful start to the year continued as three different Huskies homered. Baylee Klingler, Noelle Hee, and Morganne Flores all went yard for Washington. Kelley Lynch had two doubles on the day, driving in two runs.
