Box Score

SEATTLE – The Washington Huskies fought hard but fell 2-1 to the Oregon State Beavers in their first Pac-12 match of the year. The Huskies outshot Oregon State 15-6 but couldn't find the tying goal late despite heavy pressure. Gio Miglietti had Washington's only goal on the night.

The Huskies played a dominant defensive game for much of the match. Over the first 45 minutes, Washington allowed just one shot, and none on goal, but couldn't find a goal of their own to take the lead.

Dylan Teves would end the night with three shots, one of four Huskies with multiple shots in the game. Teves came close to tying the game after forcing a giveaway in the box but was denied by Oregon State's on-rushing keeper.

  • 58' | Oregon State struck first, taking a 1-0 lead on just their second shot of the night.
  • 59' | Lucas Meek carried the ball deep into the box, sending it pinballing around bodies. Miglietti got a touch on it, pushing it just enough forward to inch over the goal line and tie the game.
  • 72' | The gamewinner for Oregon State came on a curling shot from high in the box, coming back across the goalmouth to the upper corner.

  • Miglietti has matched his 2019 scoring pace thus far, with five points through three games.
  • Khai Brisco made his first career start, playing 66 minutes.
  • In three games for the Huskies, all playing central defense, Kendall Burks has recorded six shots.

Washington will face off with Cal next, playing in Berkeley on February 27. Any changes to the schedule will be made public via social media and
