USC Men's Volleyball Plays Home And Away vs. No. 5 Pepperdine

THE FACTS
The USC men's volleyball team (1-2 overall, 1-2 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) faces No. 5 Pepperdine (4-2, 4-2) twice this week in MPSF matches, first on Wednesday (Feb. 24) in the Galen Center at 5 p.m. PT and then at Firestone Fieldhouse on Friday (Feb. 26) at 6 p.m. PT. The 3-match series' other meeting was originally scheduled to be played on Feb. 4 but was postponed due to COVID-19 issues in the USC program and has yet to be rescheduled.

All of USC's home matches in the Galen Center are video-streamed live for free on USCTrojans. com, except for matches televised live on Pac-12 Network. USC's online announcers are ex-Trojan player and assistant coach Mark Beltran and onetime Northeastern player/Winthrop assistant coach Paul Duchesne. RANKINGS
USC is unranked in the current AVCA Division I-II Top 15 poll, but did receive votes. Pepperdine is No. 5.

OPPONENTS
USC trails in the Pepperdine series, 69-36, and has dropped the past 3 meetings, including most recently 3-0 last season in Malibu.

POSTPONED MATCHES DUE TO PAUSE
USC paused team activities on Jan. 22 due to a confirmed case of COVID-19. As a result, USC's first 3 scheduled matches of 2021 (Jan. 30 at UCLA, Feb. 4 versus Pepperdine, Feb. 6 at Grand Canyon) were postponed. The UCLA match was rescheduled to Feb. 20 and the Grand Canyon match to March 17, while a new date for the Pepperdine match has yet to be decided.
