TUCSON, Ariz. -- The No. 17 Arizona Wildcats came out of their first season tournament, against No. 7 GCU and Colorado Mesa, 2-0. Arizona was able to play eight different pairs, allowing two Freshman (Mady Noble & Abby Russell) to see their first glimpse of NCAA match play.

Against GCU the Cats fought hard to tip the scales in their favor. Having only two court needing to advance to a third set, with one pulling out a victory, the Cats made quick work of pulling out the win over the lopes for the third time in program history.

The Cats went on to sweep Colorado Mesa 5-0 for the fourth time in program history. Rennie and Parkhurst had two quick 21-9 sets on court one to keep the Mavericks scoreless. The rest of the Cats followed in suit, never allowing the Mavericks to score more than 16 points.
