Ducks Collect 20 Entries for NCAA Indoor Championships

EUGENE, Ore. – With a total of 20 entries, the Oregon track and field team will send 17 individual qualifiers and two distance-medley relays to the NCAA Indoor Championships (March 11-13) in Fayetteville, Ark. The complete list of national qualifiers was released Tuesday evening.
 
In addition to each team's DMR, the Men of Oregon have 10 individual qualifiers while the Women of Oregon check in with seven individual qualifiers. Cole Hocker is a two-time qualifier, earning spots in the mile and in the 3,000 meters.
 
Due to health and safety protocols, the 2021 NCAA Division I Indoor Championships will be contested over three days at the Randal Tyson Track Center with separate men's and women's sessions on days two and three.

Event: 60 Meters
Qualifying Mark: 6.65*
 
First NCAA Indoor Championships selection … ran a personal-best time of 6.61 at the Championships at the Peak (Feb. 27); time was adjusted to 6.65 for altitude … time of 6.61 ranks No. 4 on the UO all-time list … entered the Air Force meet with a season-best time of 6.67 from a fourth-place finish at the Razorback Invitational (Jan. 30) … posted a time of 21.03 over 200 meters at the Razorback Invitational (Jan. 29).

Third NCAA Indoor Championships selection … also qualified in the mile in 2018, '19 … established a personal best of 3:56.61 in a runner-up showing at the Razorback Invitational (Jan. 30) … No. 6 performer in Oregon history in the mile … one of five UO men to run a sub-4:00 mile during the season … posted a time of 1:49.47 for a personal best in the 800 meters at the Tyson Invitational (Feb. 13).

First NCAA Indoor Championships selection … established personal best of 6.65 at the Razorback Invitational (Jan. 30) … moved into a tie for sixth on the program's all-time list for 60 meters … entered the year with a best of 6.71 from the 2020 MPSF Championships.

First NCAA Indoor Championships selection … broke the Oregon school record in his first jump as a Duck … won the triple jump at the Razorback Invitational (Jan. 30) with his season best of 16.41m/53-10.25 … recorded his second win of the season at the Tyson Invitational (Feb. 13), getting out to a day's best of 16.35m/53-7.75 in the third round; passed on remaining three attempts … second among freshman nationally in the triple jump.
