SALT LAKE CITY – Adam Fry has been named the Utah Football program's Director of Football Operations, Head Coach Kyle Whittingham announced today. Fry has been with the Utah Football program since 2013 in a wide range of positions, including the last three on the coaching staff as a defensive graduate assistant, working with the safeties.
Prior to his three seasons as a graduate assistant coach, Fry spent five years contributing in a variety of administrative positions with the football staff. He came to Utah in 2013 as an administrative assistant and served in an executive role in 2014-15. Fry transitioned to a new role as an in-house defensive administrative assistant with the linebackers for the 2016-17 seasons, and assisted with Utah's recruiting operations, including official visits and recruit travel, and was an assistant director for the Utah summer football camps.
Fry coached the wide receivers at Placer High School in California from 2011-12 before coming to Utah.
A native of Auburn, Calif., Fry competed collegiately in track and field at Chico State, where he was an All-California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) pole vaulter and team captain as a senior in 2011. He earned a bachelor's degree in kinesiology from Chico State in 2011 and received a master's in the same major from Utah in 2018. Fry is married to the former Ariel Miller.
