Brown Leading Way In Bandon

BANDON, Ore. - Stanford men's golf began the Bandon Dunes Championships at the par-71 Bandon Trails on Sunday, shooting a 5-over 289. The Cardinal sits in ninth place after the first day. Sophomore Barclay Brown led the way for Stanford, firing a two-under 69. Freshman Karl Vilips tallied five birdies on Sunday, leading the Cardinal in that category, while classmate Jake Beber-Frankel is making his collegiate debut this week for Stanford. Monday's round will feature a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
