Bears Place Eighth At Juli Inkster Invitational

FAIRFAX – The Cal women's golf team wrapped up play at the Juli Inkster Invitational on Tuesday with an eighth-place finish in the 12-team field.

Scores were high at Meadow Club in Fairfax, as Washington won the team championship at 12-over par. Cal finished at 46-over par, two strokes out of seventh.

Freshman Mika Jin was the Bears' top individual finisher, placing 22nd out of 66 golfers at 10-over par. Washington's Rino Sasaki was the medalist at even-par for the tournament.

The Bears, who have played in three events and eight rounds of golf in the past 12 days, are now off until March 26-28 at the PING/ASU Women's Invitational in Phoenix.
