Wildcats Finish in Fifth at Wildcat Invitational
TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Women's Golf shot 2-over par as a team in the third and final round of the Wildcat Invitational to finish in fifth place out of a field of 16 teams as only one team broke par on Tuesday. The Wildcats were led by senior Yu-Sang Hou who finished the event tied for 16th at 1-over par.
"It was a disappointing finish for our team, but we will continue to work hard and keep getting better," said head coach Laura Ianello. "Yu-Sang had an impressive top-16 finish, and we had some other positive notes. Therese Warner had a career-low round of 65 on the first day and Vivian Hou finished today's round at 3-under par."
Vivan Hou's round of 69 on Tuesday propelled her to a tie for 21st alongside Warner her teammate at 3-over par for the tournament.
Arizona will welcome another decorated upperclassman in junior Ya Chun Chang who will complete her return process later this week after participating in an event in her home country of Taiwan.
The Wildcats will have a quick turnaround to their next event, the Clover Cup, starting on Friday in Mesa.
