CHULA VISTA, Calif. - March 10, 2018. March 10, 2020. It was only fitting that on this March 10 in 2021, senior Devon Bling won for the third time in his career, finishing up a victory at the Lamkin San Diego Classic. UCLA as a team also claimed a six-shot victory to post its fourth win since February 2018.

UCLA wrapped up the 54-hole event at 4-over 868 following a 5-over 293 on Wednesday at the San Diego Country Club, finishing a half a dozen shots ahead of Nevada. It is the 28th victory under head coach Derek Freeman.

Bling, who won the Jackrabbit Invitational in 2018 and the Bandon Dunes Championship in 2020 on this same date, posted a final total of 4-under 212. He shot a 3-over 75 on Wednesday, recording birdies on the opening par-4 and par-5 for the second day in a row. Bling also made a birdie on the par-5 14th, which proved to be a big one, as coupled with six bogeys, the senior defeated San Diego's Ryan Bisharat by one shot.

Senior Eddy Lai and junior Bryan Wiyang Teoh both tied for 17th at 3-over 219. Teoh shot a 3-over 75 in his final round, making three birdies on the par-3 third, par-5 eighth and par-5 16th holes to go with four bogeys and a double. Lai shot a 4-over 76 on Wednesday, posting back-to-back birdies on the par-5 14th and par-4 15th, two bogeys and two doubles.

Sophomore Mason Greene had the low round of the day for the Bruins, firing a 2-under 70 to finish in a tie for 23rd (+5, 221). He made six birdies on the par-5 second and eighth holes, par-4 fourth, 15th and 17th and par-3 11th. Freshman Dylan Vizanko (T-108, +26, 242) also had his best round of the tournament with a 1-over 73, 13 shots better than his second round. He made a pair of birdies on the par-5 second and eighth holes and three bogeys.

The Bruins are off for finals before heading back out on the course for the two-day Duck Invitational (March 22-23) at Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Ore.
