USC's Eryn Cayetano Named to 2021 USTA Southern California All-SoCal College Team
LOS ANGELES– USC sophomore Eryn Cayetano has earned placement on the 2021 USTA Southern California "All-SoCal College Team". This team celebrates the accomplished collegiate tennis players who've emerged from the Southern California Section and its array of junior programming.
Cayetano is one of twelve men and women on the team who exemplify both athletic and academic achievement, as well as commendable sportsmanship throughout their junior and college careers.
The prototype junior player turned college student-athlete, Cayetano is a burgeoning star for Alison Swain's Trojan squad, known as much for her relaxed demeanor as she is for her formidable game. A perennial sportsmanship award winner, Cayetano is the reigning USTASoCal Open Sectionals champion and earned an Oracle ITA Masters title in San Diego last fall before returning to USC to compete in the spring dual match season.
Cayetano currently is ranked No. 48 in the nation in singles, and in doubles, she holds the No. 12 ranking with partner redshirt senior Angela Kulikov.
Other honorees in Women's Tennis include Emma Higuchi (Stanford), Rena Lin (Yale), Maia Sung (Princeton), Delanie Dunkle (Cal Poly), and Elizabeth Goldsmith (San Diego).
In 2019, Trojan Salma Ewing was among the honorees.
