March 12th – A Day We All Remember

On this day last year, our team was in Seattle for our opening weekend of conference play.  First thing that morning, we got word that our season was canceled. It is hard to believe that was one year ago.

Today, our team is unable to play our games due to COVID-19 protocols. We are postponing the games for the weekend and have reconfigured our schedule moving forward

Needless to say, it's been a hard year. Everyone seems to have experienced it very differently. Myself and my team included. The highs and lows that we have all experienced throughout the year have been pretty incredible. Some of these swings have come within hours of each other, which is another reason why the year has felt so exhausting.

As we take a pause in action this weekend, we are reminded yet again how blessed we are with each opportunity we get to play.

Here's to new beginnings and a bright light at the end of this dark tunnel. I'm happy to announce conference play will begin for us next weekend, which is exactly where things ended for us in 2020.

We are hopeful everyone will be cleared to play by next Friday. I'll send another newsletter to you next week, as we travel to Oregon to face the Ducks!

Go Utes!
