No. 12 USC Women's Soccer Falls 2-0 at Utah

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – A pair of second half goals sunk the No. 12 USC women's soccer team on the road at Utah on Friday night, as the Trojans dropped their second Pac-12 matchup.
 
USC falls to 3-2 overall and 2-2 in Pac-12 play with the loss, while Utah improves to 2-4-2 overall and 1-2-1 in conference action.
 
Anna Escobedo scored twice for the Utes, getting the assist from Courtney Talbot both times. Escobedo broke the scoreless tie in the 64th minute, heading in a ball from Talbot deep in the box. She later got free in the area again, getting a nice touch pass from Talbot and hitting it home off of Anna Smith in goal.
 
The Trojans had chances in both halves and actually outshot Utah 10-9, but just couldn't find the finishing touch on the road.
 
GOALS
64' – UTAH: Anna Escobedo (assisted by Courtney Talbot) – Talbot sent a floating ball into the box and Escobedo headed it home inside the left post.
 
80' – UTAH: Anna Escobedo (assisted by Courtney Talbot) – Talbot sent a quick pass to Escobedo near the edge of the goal box and Escobedo hit one in off of USC keeper Anna Smith.
