USC's Allisen Corpuz Named To ANNIKA Award Watch List

Mar 12, 2021

USC senior Allisen Corpuz, with two wins and four top 4 finishes in as many outings to start the 2021 season, has picked up another distinction, included on the latest 15-woman ANNIKA Award Watch List, announced Friday morning by Golf Channel and Golfweek.

The graduate senior, ranked No. 6 by Golfweek, is off to one of the best starts in school history. Her pair of wins – at the Lamkin San Diego Invitational and The Gold Rush – coupled with a third at the Sun Devil Winter Classic and a fourth at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational mark the first time a Trojan has opened a season with four top 4s since All-American and longtime LPGA star Candie Kung started the 2001 season with seven such finishes.

Corpuz leads USC in stroke average (70.25), rounds in the 60s (five), rounds of par or better (10) and rounds under par (10). She now has 15 career rounds in the 60s, tied for fourth in program history, while her current stroke average is more than a stroke better than the school season record.

Her 10-under 206 at Old Ranch C.C. to win The Gold Rush was a career-best, as was her final round 66. She has seven top 10s in her last 10 outings dating back to last season.

Corpuz was one of three early committee picks for the 2021 Arnold Palmer Cup that will be played at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill., June 11-13.

She is among six Trojans invited to play in the 2021 Augusta National Women's Amateur set for March 31-April 3 in Augusta, Ga. Corpuz was invited to play in the 2020 event (that was cancelled) and at the inaugural event in 2019, she made the 36-hole cut at 3-over 147 (75-72) and ultimately tied for 17th at 3-over 219 (75-72-72).

Corpuz was also an invited to the January Curtis Cup practice session, her second such invite.
