UCLA's Schedule

MARINA DEL REY, Calif. – The No. 18-ranked UCLA women's rowing program won a pair of races against Loyola Marymount in the spring season opener for both programs on Saturday morning at Ballona Creek.
UCLA raced four boats in two races – the varsity eight and the varsity four. The Bruins' varsity eight crew won its race with a time of 6:27.90, while the second varsity eight (6:41.50) finished well ahead of Loyola Marymount V8+ crew (6:50.20).
The Bruins' varsity four boat posted a first-place time of 7:16.10. UCLA's second varsity four crew had a second-place finish with a time of 7:29.60, crossing the finish line ahead of LMU's varsity four (7:41.70).
Saturday's races marked the Bruins' first true competition since one year ago, when UCLA swept four races against San Diego State (March 7, 2020). The Bruins' spring season in 2020 was substantially cut short due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
UCLA will return to action in two weeks, hosting a dual meet against crosstown rival USC in Marina del Rey. Racing is scheduled to take place the morning of Saturday, March 27.
