Ortiz-Rivera to Compete at NCAA Championships

TUCSON, Ariz. – Victor Ortiz-Rivera is set to compete at the NCAA Cross Country Championships in Stillwater, Oklahoma on Monday, March 15. The men's 10k race will kick off at 10:40 a.m. MST, following the finish of the women's 6k at 9:50 a.m.

The races will be broadcast live on ESPNU and the ESPN app beginning at 9:30 a.m. MST or you can follow along with live results here.

Ortiz-Rivera ran a PR time of 22:59.8 to finish sixth in the 8k race at the Pac-12 Cross Country Championships and qualify for the national competition out of 31 teams and 38 individuals picked on the NCAA Selection Show. 

His performance at the Pac-12 Championships was good to shave his previous best time by almost a minute and a half, coming off of a win at the Dave Murray Invitational on February 19 with a time of 24:23.6.
