SEATTLE – A contentious game saw the #9 Washington Huskies win 2-0 over the UCLA Bruins on the road. Ryan Sailor and Christian Soto had the goals for the Huskies. Soto also had an assist in the game.

Washington moves to 6-1-0 with the win and 3-1-0 in Pac-12 play. The Huskies are on a four-game win streak, with three of those games shutouts.

Cole Grimsby and Christian Soto had assists on Sailor's goal that put the Huskies ahead. Gabe Threadgold had his first collegiate point, assisting on Soto's goal. In goal, Sam Fowler extended his shutout streak to 209 minutes and now has shutouts in five of his six appearances this season.

UCLA's only extended pressure came near the end of the game, when the Bruins managed three shots after the 75th minute. Washington didn't allow a shot on goal in the first 63 minutes. Washington weather the storm from UCLA and found the nail in the coffin soon thereafter with Soto's goal.
