Salt Lake City, Utah - Freshman Reilyn Turner's two-goal effort led No. 3 UCLA to a 2-0 victory at Utah. The shutout was the fifth of the year for the Bruins, who remain unbeaten at 8-0 overall and 5-0 in the Pac-12.

Turner scored her first goal in the 33rd minute in the midst of a defensive stalemate for most of the first half. After accepting a pass from Jacey Pederson, Kaila Novak sent a dazzling diagonal ball up the field for Turner ahead of the defense. Turner sent a sliding shot past Utah goalkeeper Chelsea Peterson for the eventual game-winner.

The Bruins were more aggressive in the second half, recording eight of their 12 shots in the second stanza. In the 60th minute, Sunshine Fontes sent a great ball through to an on-rushing Turner, but Peterson slid over to deflect the shot. The Fontes-Turner combo couldn't be stopped in the 63rd minute, though, as Fontes sent a ball to Turner at the far post. Turner headed it in for her second goal of the game and fourth goal of the season.

Turner nearly got the hat trick in the 86th minute, but Utah made back-to-back saves on her shots, with Peterson saving the first, and a Ute defender stopping the second. Turner finished the game with six shots, including four on goal.

Goalkeeper Lauren Brzykcy recorded her fifth shutout, making three saves on five Utah shots. Peterson had seven saves for the Utes.

The Bruins will host USC on Thursday, Mar. 18 at 7pm in a non-conference matchup at Wallis Annenberg Stadium.
