Arizona to Compete in NCAA Championships
TUCSON, Ariz. -- Arizona Women's Swimming and Diving is set to compete in the Women's Swimming and Diving NCAA Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina, in the Greensboro Aquatic Center from Wednesday through Saturday.
The Wildcats will feature a roster of five women; Molly Batchelor, Aria Bernal, Amalie Mortensen, Delaney Schnell, and Gracie Sleeman.
Two-time Pac-12 Diving champion Delaney Schnell will look to continue her recent hot streak. Schnell is coming off of Pac-12 championship wins in both the 1 meter and platform events, setting a new school and conference record in the platform dive with a score of 364.50.
Gracie Sleeman will compete in the 3 meter event after she qualified with a personal best of 308.00.
Aria Bernal qualified in the 100 back event after she placed with a time of 52.45.
The Freshman Molly Batchelor will be competing in the 500 free event, after she qualified with a time of 4:44.03 at the Pac-12 Championships. Fellow teammate and freshman Amalie Mortensen, will compete in the 200 free event after qualifying with a time of 1:44.81.
Prelims will start at 7 a.m. PT beginning Thursday morning, while finals will begin at 3 p.m. each of the four days of competition. Diving prelims get underway at approximately 12:30 p.m. PT.
