USC Opens 2021 Outdoor Track & Field Season Hosting Trojan Invitational

The USC Track & Field teams will kickoff the 2021 outdoor season this weekend by hosting the annual Trojan Invitational on March 19 and 20.  The hammer throw and discus throw will be contested on Friday, March 19 at Long Beach State beginning at noon, while the majority of the meet will be at Loker Stadium beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 20.  The Trojan Invitational will feature USC's highly-decorated track and field athletes along with teams from California, Long Beach State, Utah and Washington State.

The meet will be streamed live beginning at 11:45 a.m. for  the Senior Recognition Ceremony with the running portion of the meet beginning at 12:15 p.m. with the 4x400m relays.

Among the Trojan All-America athletes that did not compete during the indoor season and entered for action this week include Angie Annelus, Anna Cockrell, Kyra Constantine, Matthew Katnik , Isaiah Jewett and Jordan Scott.

The USC women's team just placed fourth at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships on March 13, while the men's team finished 11th.  The preseason outdoor rankings by the USTFCCCA will come out on Tuesday, March 23.
