Baseball Hosts Dixie State for Midweek Game

Utah baseball is playing in its first midweek game against Dixie State on Tuesday, March 23 at Smith's Ballpark.
The Utes went 2-0 in their first appearance in Smith's Ballpark this season downing BYU.
Dustyn Schramm will be on the mound for the Utah for his first start since 2019. Back in his freshman season, he had eight starts with his last one coming against UC Davis, where he went 8.0 innings to get the win.
Utah and Dixie State will play one more time this season down in St. George, Utah.
UTAH TO ALLOW LIMITED NUMBER OF SPECTATORS
Utah Athletics is now able to permit a limited number of spectators to attend home athletics competitions at outdoor venues, in accordance with Pac-12 policy and local and University public health and safety protocols.
A limited number of family and friends of student-athletes and coaches have been able to attend Utah Athletics events for the past two months, and that scope will now expand to allow the public to attend events up to a limited capacity at outdoor venues based on each facility's design.

ROBENIOL AND HOSTERT SHUT DOWN SATURDAY'S
Kyle Robeniol got his second start of the season in the second game against BYU and had a very strong outing leading Utah to a victory.
The redshirt senior pitched 6.0 innings striking out eight. Him and Randon Hostert combined to only allow one run on five hits and striking out 14.
The 7-1 win was the biggest of the season for Utah.
They then combined to shutdown Stanford for Utah's first Pac-12 win. Robeniol struck out six batters in 4.2 innings and Hostert came in and only allowed three hits. Hostert locked it down the last three innings only letting Stanford have one baserunner over the final three innings.
Utah will host Cal at Smith's Ballpark starting on Friday. All three games will be on Pac-12 Network.
