Bruins Complete 36-Hole Day at Duck Invitational

EUGENE, Ore. - Senior Devon Bling and junior Bryan Wiyang Teoh are both inside the Top 15 after 36 holes of play on Monday at the Duck Invitational at the Eugene Country Club. As a team, the Bruins are in eighth place (+25, 593). UCLA shot a 12-over 296 in round one and a 13-over 297 in round two.

Bling is in 12th place (+3, 145). He opened with a 2-over 73, making three birdies on the par-5 sixth and 16th holes and the par-4 fourth, adding five bogeys. In the afternoon, Bling shot a 1-over 71, recording five birdies on the par-5 sixth and par-4 third, eighth, 10th and 18th holes to go with four bogeys and a double.

Teoh is tied for 13th (+4, 146). He shot an opening-round, 1-over 72 on a birdie on the par-4 18th, two bogeys and 15 pars. Teoh again made 15 pars in his afternoon round to go with three bogeys in a 3-over 74.

Sophomore Mason Greene is tied for 21st (+5, 147). He recorded a 2-over 73 in round one, making five birdies on the par-5 sixth and par-4 third, fourth, 15th and 17th holes to go with seven bogeys. Greene tallied three birdies in his afternoon 3-over 74 on the par-4 14th and 17th holes and the par-3 12th, adding six bogeys.

Senior Eddy Lai is tied for 56th (+13, 155). He shot a 7-over 78 in round one on five bogeys and a double, posting a 6-over 77 in round two on a pair of birdies on the par-5 sixth and par-4 11th holes, four bogeys and two doubles.

Freshman Ty Griggs is 78th (+19, 161). He posted an 8-over 79 in round one, making two birdies on the par-5 13th and par-3 second holes, five bogeys, a double and a triple. Griggs made five bogeys and three doubles in his second round (+11, 82).

The final round will be another shotgun start, beginning at 8:30 a.m. The Bruins will start on holes No. 5-9 in the order of Bling, Teoh, Greene, Lai and Griggs. Live scoring will be available here.
