USC won its last team title in 1977 and posted its last top 3 finish in 1990 with a second place. Since 1990, the best USC has done is a quartet of fourth-place finishes in 1991, 2001, 2013 and 2015. The Trojans have won at least one NCAA title in 10 of the past 20 seasons, including USC's first title in the 200y medley relay in 2018. That saw Robert GlintaCarsten VisseringDylan Carter and Santo Condorelli win in a school record 1:21.82 … In 2015, then-senior Cristian Quintero won the 200y free – USC's last individual title -- and led USC to wins in the 400y and 800y free relays, Troy's ninth NCAA wins in both races. In 2014, Quintero won the 500y free and led USC to a win the 800y free relay. In 2013, junior Vladimir Morozov swept the 50y and 100y freestyles, Troy's first crowns in the events since 1977 and 1974, respectively. Morozov also led USC to its first 400y free relay title since 1977. Troy has also won four 400y medley relays in its NCAA history and one 200y medley relay.
Of the Trojans traveling to Greensboro, USC returns two swimmers that have competed at the NCAA Championships, as senior Nikola Miljenic and junior Alexei Sancov will represent Troy at the national competition for the first time since 2019.

USC enters this week's meet with three swims that rank among the top-16 according to the NCAA meet psych sheet. Junior Alexei Sancov leads the way for the Trojans with two times in the top 8 (200y free, 200y fly), as he makes his second trip to the NCAA's.
Top 20 rankings for the Trojans include…

  • 100 fly – Nikola Miljenic 13th, 45.33
