Road Sweep Complete

Mar 24, 2021

DURHAM, N.H. - Stanford erupted for three second-half goals after a scoreless first half, storming past New Hampshire 3-0 on Wednesday afternoon.

Stanford (3-0, 3-0 America East) put the finishing touches on a three-game road trip to open its season, following up victories over Vermont (3-0) and Monmouth (3-2).

The Cardinal was dominant on both sides of the ball, controlling play throughout the game despite failing to convert its early opportunities.

Stanford owned advantages in shots (19-3) and penalty corners (6-4) while receiving scoring balance with Frances Carstens, Juli Porto and Corinne Zanolli all finding the cage. Zanolli, who paced the offense with seven shots, also contributed an assist. Kaylie Mings provided Stanford's only other assist.

The Cardinal continued to shine defensively as well, notching its second shutout and easily turning away the Wildcat attack. Hannah Santos picked up her third win in goal, needing to make only one save.

Stanford returns to action on Monday, March 29, hosting UC Davis at 6 p.m. in the first of two home games this season.
