PULLMAN, Wash. - Continuing to add to their stable of strikers, Washington State Soccer Head Coach Todd Shulenberger announced the addition of transfer Enzi Broussard (Dallas, Texas) for the 2021 Fall Season. Broussard will have two years of eligibility after spending two years at West Virginia University.
Broussard will join the likes of Nadia Cooper (Rosenberg, Texas), Macey Formanek (Phoenix, Ariz.), Khalia Gathright (Cypress, Calif.), McKenna Pua (Huntington Beach, Calif.), Rajanah Reed (Glendale, Ariz.), Lindsey Saad (Albuquergue, NM), Reese Tappan (Newcastle, Wash.), and Audrey Weir (Kailua Kona, Hawaii) as newcomers who signed with the Cougars in November.
For Coug fans, Broussard will look familiar to those who watched WSU's historic run to the College Cup in 2019 as the Dallas native was on the pitch in Charlottesville, Vir. when the Cougs advanced to the Elite 8. As a freshman, Broussard helped lead the Mountaineers to the third round of the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in five seasons en route to earning All-Big-12 Freshman honors. She would finish the season scoring three goals and tallying two assists in 22 matches played with 14 starts including starting the third round game against the Cougars. As a sophomore, Broussard saw action in eight of WVU's nine contests in a truncated 2020 Fall Season scoring two goals and adding two more assists as the Mountaineers went 7-2 and pushed their way into a top-5 national ranking.
Prior to signing with WVU as a four-star recruit, Broussard spent time playing with the U-17 USWNT while playing her prep soccer in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy at the IMG Academy. She was twice named the league's Best Offensive Player while also earning Player of the Year honors in 2017-18.
