BERKELEY – California track & field continues its outdoor schedule with the Aztec Invitational Friday March 26 and Saturday March 27 at the Aztrack Sports Deck in San Diego, California.

San Diego State is hosting the meet and the Bears will be joined by Oregon, Arizona, BYU and USC among others as action gets underway with Jasmine Blair competing in the women's hammer throw at 4 p.m. on Friday.

All other Golden Bears are set for Saturday action, beginning in the field with the women's long jump at 10:30 a.m. Competition on track starts at 12:40 p.m. with the 4x100 relays.

The meet will be streamed via Runnerspace.com ($) and live results links are available on CalBears.com.

The Bears got back to work last week at the USC Trojan Invitational, recording three Cal all-time top 10 marks and 17 new lifetime bests at the competition.

Through two outdoor meets this season California has already set 32 new lifetime bests among the team.

Deshae Wise blazed to a new lifetime best and the second-fastest time in Cal history in the women's 100-meter hurdles, crossing the line in 13.36 seconds to finish second behind USC's Jasmine Jones (13.01).

Ezinne Abba followed in the women's 100-meters, clocking a new personal record of 11.62 seconds, the fifth-fastest time all-time at Cal.

Josh Johnson made his season debut in the men's shot put and made his presence known, moving up to the second spot on the Cal all-time outdoor list with a top put of 19.88 meters (65'-2.75") to take the win.

California distance runners are joining the squad this week, with entries in the men's and women's 1,500-meters, men's and women's 800-meters and women's 5,000-meters. Annie Boos and Steven Khan are among several Bears set to run in the 1,500-meter races, while Mina Anglero and Ben Micallef are entered in the 800-meter races.

Sydney Vandegrift, Chloe Hansel and Meredith Corda will run in the women's 5,000-meters, closing out competition on Saturday.
