Cal Earned Four More Academic Accolades On Thursday

BERKELEY - California field hockey student-athletes Cato Knipping, Natalie Moore, Sara Stone and Kaiden Stanley are among more than 250 student-athletes recognized as Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I Scholars of Distinction as announced by the organization on Thursday. 

This is the second-straight year that Knipping has garnered this award.

The Division I Scholars of Distinction program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.9 or higher through the fall semester of the 2020-21 academic year.

The four Golden Bears were recently included among the program-record group of 23 Bears honored with 2020 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad laurels. 

The NFHCA Division I National Academic Team Awards will be announced on March 29 and the NFHCA Division I National Scholar-Athlete will be announced on June 15.
