Two Cats Earn All-American Honors at Day of NCAA Championships
TUCSON, Ariz. -- Day 2 of Men's NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships wrapped up Thursday evening in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Arizona had a successful day as they had two individual All-Americans and both of their relays earning All-American Honorable Mention honors.
Captain Brooks Fail swam a personal best of 4:09.41 in the 500 free prelims Thursday morning, and would then go on to swim in the finals with a time of 4:09.54, placing third and earning All-American honors.

David Schlicht was the second Wildcat to earn All-American honors Thursday night, as he swam in the 200 IM with a time of 1:41.82, finishing sixth in the nation.
The 200 free and 400 medley relays both took place Thursday and Arizona claimed All-American Honorable Mention honors for both events. The 200 free (Ercegovic, Reid, Combs, Maric) finished with a time of 1:17.18 and 400 medley (Maric, iida, Reid, Ercegovic) finished with a time of 3:04.96.
After two days, Arizona sits at #11 in the standings with 51 total points.
Day 3 of the Men's NCAA Championships will begin tomorrow morning at 7 a.m. MST for prelims, followed up by finals at 3 p.m. MST.
