WIN THE DAY
We play at HOME three days in a row starting TODAY, and there's nothing but sunshine in the forecast! That sounds fantastic to me. We also opened up the stadium for our usual opportunity for fans to get in FREE. So we are hoping we fill the place to the maximum number allowed!
Sounds like a good time to go and upset #13 ASU. We have seen them twice already, but this time it will be on our home turf with our fans. I'm really hoping for some enthusiasm from the crowd that our team can feed off of and can help set the stage for a game-winning hit.
After this homestand, we have a six-night road trip traveling approximately 1,700 miles total with seven games on tap. We have wanted the chance to play the game we love and we are getting that chance right now, and then some.
This year has been more challenging mentally than any year I have been a part of, so we are continuing the season with our character training led by our players. This week we have AJ, Ali and Kenna leading us in enthusiasm, patience and benevolence. Each player gets a chance to lead in an area she believes she has as a strength, and boy has it been needed.
I can think of lots of ways we will need to lean on these three players and these three traits over the stretch we have with 10 games in 11 days. I'm thankful for all of them and for the leadership they provide as we strive each and every day to WIN THE DAY!
Hope to see you at a game soon...GO UTES!
(I want to give a special thanks to Charmelle for the reminder for us to take it one day at a time and strive to simply "Win The Day")
