LOS ANGELES -- No. 4 UCLA (15-1) posted back-to-back dual victories over No. 2 Florida State (22-3) on Sunday at Mapes Beach. The Bruins opened the day with a 4-1 win in the morning and came back to post a 3-2 victory over the Seminoles in the afternoon dual. With the wins, the Bruins improved to 10-7 all-time against Florida State with their sixth straight wins in the series.

In the opening dual, Jacqueline Quade and Megan Muret got the Bruins on the board first with a straight-set win on court four over Florida State's Payton Caffrey and Madison Fitzpatrick; 21-15, 21-17

But the Seminoles pulled even at 1-1 with a straight-set win (21-17, 21-18) on court two from Torrey Van Winden and Keara Rutz over the Bruins' Abby Van Winkle and Lea Monkhouse.

Court five's Jaden Whitmarsh and Rileigh Powers put UCLA back in front with a 21-19, 21-18 win over FSU's Kate Privett and Jenna Johnson.

That set up Lexy Denaburg and Savvy Simo to clinch the dual victory with a 21-19, 21-19 win over Alaina Chacon and Molly McBain on court one.

Court three's Devon Newberry and Lindsey Sparks provided the final point for UCLA with a three-set thriller (21-17, 15-21, 19-17) when they beat the previously undefeated (22-0) pair of Sara Putt and Maddie Anderson.

In exhibition play, UCLA's Cami Sanchez and Hannah Phair defeated Avery Poppinga and Liz Waters-Leiga, 21-15, 30-28.

In the second dual, the Seminoles got the early lead when Van Winden and Rutz defeated Monkhouse and Van Winkle, 21-16, 21-12 on court two.

Then FSU went up 2-0 after Caffrey and Liz Waters-Leiga rallied to beat Quade and Muret in a three-setter, 12-21, 23-21, 15-13, snapping the Bruin duo's 11-match winning streak.

UCLA then mounted a comeback to win the dual. It began on court three where again, the Bruin tandem of Newberry and Sparks beat Putt and Anderson. Only this time, they beat them in straight sets, which included rallying from an 18-13 deficit in the second set to win the match; 21-18, 22-20. It marked the Bruin tandem's 10th-straight win.

Court five's Powers and Whitmarsh defeated Privett and Johnson, 21-15, 16-21, 15-11, to tie the dual at 2-2. It marked the Bruin duo's team-best 12th-consecutive victory.

All that was left to seal the win was a fierce battle on court one. Simo and Denaburg took control in the third set and defeated Chacon and McBain; 21-14, 20-22, 15-8.

In exhibition action, Caitlin Godwin and Raelyn White of FSU defeated Sanchez and Phair; 21-16, 20-22, 15-12.

The Bruins return to action on Saturday, April 10, when they travel to Tempe, Ariz., to compete at the Pac-12 North Invitational. The Bruins will open up with the hosts, Arizona State, in a 10:15 a.m. PT dual.
